When you come into Dr. Bottem’s office for your AccuTite procedure, he will first numb the treatment area with a local anesthetic. Afterwards, he will make a very small incision and insert the AccuTite device.
The AccuTite device uses radio frequency energy to heat up the tissue in the treatment area. The heat causes the collagen in the tissue to contract, and as it does, the skin around the treatment area is tightened.
Depending on the number of areas being treated, the whole procedure can be done in as little as one hour with minimal discomfort and only local anesthesia.
After the procedure is finished, you will be able to go home and recover in the comfort of your own home with only a small bandage over the incision site. You’ll have some swelling for a few weeks after your treatment, but once that goes down, you’ll be able to see your results.
